OUR UPCOMING TAROT DECK IN PROGRESS... In my previous update, I shared that Adam recently finished the artwork for HEARTWOOD, and since then, we managed to complete the card backs and the illustration for the box. They're looking beautiful! ❤️ I also worked on formatting the guide cards, nearly finalised all the online guidebook stuff, and made decisions on the extras to include with the decks during the preorder. We're aiming for a launch date of May 3rd (when you can preorder your copy of HEARTWOOD with an estimated delivery around October). I should have all the specifics about our launch ready to send out to you by email some time in April. And here's a little guidebook excerpt about our Knight of Pentacles... Artwork description: Our Knight, a silver-shelled snail, perches on a chess piece. A pentacle adorns its metallic-coloured home. Other chessmen stand strategically around the wooden board amongst the crinkly autumnal leaves. The warm sunlight streaming in from the window falls softly over the board. Card meaning: Our valiant Knight of Pentacles may look slow, but appearances can be deceiving. They meticulously plan each move, which takes a great deal of work. If this card slides into a reading, know that although your progress may be slow, there's a lot of effort and preparation behind the scenes. |

CERTIFICATES OF AUTHENTICITY... It's worth mentioning that the only deck that doesn't include a Certificate of Authenticity is the full-size Oak, Ash & Thorn. A bit of a backstory: The very first printing of the Oak, Ash & Thorn (the Kickstarter) included hand-typed and hand-stamped certificates, which was an enormous amount of work. I eventually decided not to include them (since the letterpressed box showed that you got an authentic OAT deck). All decks produced after Oak, Ash & Thorn will include COAs no matter what (even though the boxes will still be embossed). The certificates of authenticity for many of our other decks are easier to create, but they still have a handmade element to them where they're hand-stamped. Sorry if this has been confusing, but I wanted to explain the why behind the what. It boils down to growing pains, finding my feet in the deck-creating world, and figuring out what works best. So again, certificates of authenticity are not included with the full-size Oak, Ash & Thorn, but they are included with our other decks. I hope this clarification makes sense. |
